Our Journey so far:
Where did it all begin? Around eighteen years ago we found ourselves out of work when our previous company ended. After visiting Wimbledon market one day, we chatted to some of the stallholders and thought that selling vintage items was something we could, and would enjoy. We still owned a warehouse which was empty so after buying our first Luton van, we were in business.
The early years saw us taking in all the usual markets, Wimbledon, Kempton, Ardingley, Ford, etc. As our clearance company, Lavender Clearances went from strength to strength, we ended up growing to include four daily clearance teams. The sheer quantity of goods arriving meant the warehouse was always packed to the rafters and lots of our friends and customers from the markets would visit to buy stock. At first the warehouse was pretty basic with everything crammed into just one of the units. The company renting the other unit went bankrupt and we we're growing at such a rate whereby we needed the extra space.
Around this time we were becoming increasingly interested in vintage clothing, we were getting huge quantities and our friends loved some of the stock we was collecting. Early days of scouting interest included Kilo sale's in Kingston which were a huge success and after some deliberation, we decided to give it a real go and this is where Think Vintage was born. The warehouse went from strength to strength and the rest you can say is history.
Since our start we have made amazing connections, with brands such as Absolute Vintage (Brick Lanes oldest store and companies across the North West, alongside some of the largest production companies in the film industry, as well as the West End. We have a real passion for what we do and we hope that this shines through in the quality and care we have put into our collection.
